This is a customers 2012 Kia Sorento SX with some serious damage to the back section. We had to replace the RR quarter panel inner and outer, dog house, both passenger doors as well as extensive frame time. We went by the Factory Repair standards (All Data) to do the repairs, they instruct the tech on where to make the cuts, add splices and butt the new parts to, all measuring is done via our Chief measuring system. The quarter panel, dog house and rocker is welded into place then a test fit of the doors to check fitment (double check the measuring system) then the final welding is completed. The copper you see is the weld thru primer that Kia uses prior to the complete repair. After the sound dampening., factory primer, rust prevention and any other seam sealer and gasket is completed the vehicle goes to paint, buff and back to the tech for reassembly.
